Mike Appleby came to Utah in 1989 and has been on the trails here ever since. In. 2017, he became a board member of Weber Pathways and has helped transform the organization to amazing heights. Now as the TFNU Board Chair, Mike has been an intricate part of our growth and success. During this episode we learn more about Mike and his thoughts on TFNU now and our future. This year we are excited to announce that Stephen Trimble will be the author at our annual TFNU Author event on May 5, 2023 at the Timberline Restaurant in Ogden. Tickets are still available.
Stephen Trimble tells stories—in words and photographs. As a writer, editor and photographer, he has published 25 award winning books during 45 years of paying attention to the landscapes and peoples of the Desert West.
He has worked as a free-lance writer and photographer since 1981 and has received numerous awards along the way for his work.
Trimble’s Author Dinner program is entitled “Cathedral in the Desert: A Lifetime in the Anthropocene West.” His award-winning photos will take the audience on a tour of the Intermountain West as he shows how human activities have impacted the environment enough to create geologic change.
